Questions:

Do I need to vacuum before you arrive?
As a general rule, no. If you have pet(s) that shed a lot, it is helpful but not necessary.

Do you move furniture?
Of course we move furniture, with the exception of china cabinets, entertainment centers and computer work stations, and then we reset all items moved on cards or blocks.

What do i need to move before you arrive?
We ask that you move toys and small objects off of the floor and breakables off of any furniture you would like us to move.

Why is it important to Scotchgard™ my carpet?
There are several reasons why we recommend Scotchgard™. Not only does it help prolong the life of your carpet, but it also helps to prevent new spills from turning into stains and setting into the carpet making it easier for you to blot up right away and for those stubborn stains, for us to remove it the next time we’re out to professionally clean your carpet. It also maintains your manufacturer’s warranty.

If I have a stain in between cleanings, how do I take care of it?
Nothing can compare to a professional cleaning. However, mistakes happen and we know you can’t call us every time something gets spilled! We recommend regular water or a ½ and ½ mixture of white vinegar and club soda.

How often should I have my carpets professionally cleaned by Carpet Seasons and what are the benefits?
Every home has a different amount of “traffic” and “wear and tear”. If you have children and/or pet(s) or both or have allergies, we recommend cleaning at least twice a year. If you live alone, or there isn’t a lot of activity in the home, once a year is recommended. The benefits of regular professional cleaning are reduced indoor allergens and the prolonging of the carpets life by removing ground in dirt, soil and salt that can un-naturally create an abrasive wear-pattern.

What cleaning method do you use?
We use only the best high quality truck-mounted professional cleaning system in the industry. This ensures that you will receive the best possible cleaning with no residue and quick dry times. 1. Vacuum, 2. Pre-spray, 3. Steam clean, 4. Re-apply protectant.

How long will it take for the carpet to dry?
On average, it takes about 6-8 hours. However, each situation is different and there are a variety of factors that can affect your particular drying time. We have a variety of techniques and equipment that we use that in most cases, can ensure the fastest dry time possible!

What can you do about pet odor/stain issues?
Each situation is going to be different. After we assess your individual situation and needs, we always have the products available to treat your stains/odors in the most effective ways possible. By utilizing disinfectant direct-injection systems and cleaning using the water claw method, we’re able to flush out tough odors in not only the carpet, but deep within the carpet’s pad without over wetting. Carpet Seasons has completed special certification courses to ensure the best possible results!

When I’m ready to have my carpets and upholstery cleaned, how far in advance should i call to schedule an appointment?
We are available 24/7 for all emergency services! We always try to accommodate our customer’s needs, but because carpet seasons only uses certified technicians with a minimum of 10 years experience (we don’t hire irritable, non-certified, day laborers), we ask that you call to schedule at least 3 days in advance. In an emergency cleaning and/or flood/fire situation, we take pride in our 1-hour response time in the tri-county area.

There’s water in my home/business. What do I do?
First, make sure you and your family and/or employees are safe. Then, call us for a free in-home/business inspection so we may eliminate safety hazards and secondary damage to your structure and contents. As an IICRC certified firm, we have the verifiable knowledge and equipment necessary to provide complete restoration services that you can be 100% sure will be professionally handled from start to finish. We’ll be able to classify and categorize your loss through the use of specialty moisture reading equipment and/or thermal imaging. Through the use of psychometry, we can determine the best system to mitigate your loss. When insurance companies are provided with proper documentation and dealt with professionally, they can be a real asset (see our water damage page for further information). We have years of experience working with insurance companies and we provide complete and accurate information to insurance adjusters in order to process and expedite the completion of your claim. Rest assured that even through this stressful time, we will handle your claim professionally with no added stress to you, our customer.
